Hi there.
Another week flies by and several nice bits and bobs have snuck into stock this week. I'm really pleased to have finally nabbed some Milieu Music releases and the really nice thing is that they're so diverse. My faves tend to be along the drone / textural lines, but the more classically electronica-styled releases are lovely as well. As well as that, one of the obvious highlights of the week has been the Ghost Sounds CD which is, quite frankly, absolutely marvellous. I've only got a couple of copies left but I'm hoping to grab some more next week for a full restock. If you haven't checked it out yet, I strongly advise you do so as it's a great example of how to put together chilled, thoughtful electronic music in several different styles. I'll be getting more copies of it next week in case you miss out right now (which is jolly good news).
Okay, so, other nuggets of news are as follows...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bvdub - A Moment's Peace - Meanwhile 12" - Slightly delayed
Yes, this gorgeous release has been put back for a few weeks so I thought I'd better let you know. I believe it's being manufactured at the moment which means it should be by the end of the month. The good things are always worth waiting for though, aren't they?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grit - Expanse - Shoreless CD - Update
After a wait of epic proportions the Grit CD on Quantec's Shoreless imprint has been re-scheduled for November / December. I can tell you it's worth the wait because the tracks I've heard are just brilliant. More news on a firm date once I get it. All the original pre-orders still stand so if you did order one back along, have no fear, it'll be winging its way to you as soon as it drops.

More about Milieu Music
Brian Grainger's Milieu Music imprint is an outlet for his unbelievably prolific music output and, I've got to say that he's one of the artists I envy a lot. Not only does he write a lot of music, it's all of an amazingly high quality. Yes, I'm quite obviously jealous!
>From dusty, lo-fi electronica with hints of Casino Versus Japan or Boards of Canada through to incredibly deep drone and textural work with luscious layers and a deliciously ambient feel. His releases as Milieu, Coppice Halifax, Vhom and others is really worth seeking out and checking and I've spent a good deal of this week listening to and enjoying most of his back catalogue.

Forthcoming Smallfish Releases
There are some very nice things forthcoming on Smallfish including, but not limited to, a super EP by Tom White which has a nicely minimal feel and some lovely sculptural moments, an absolutely divine EP from Japanese artist Ryonkt which delivers a hit of ambient textures par excellence and also a new Monostation EP (yes!) which, I have to admit, absolutely knocked my socks off - if you liked their other releases, this is going to make you very happy indeed! As well as that there are some tremendous things in the pipeline being prepared for next year that I think you're going to be *very* excited about!
At the moment there are several of the old releases available again and these are pretty much the last copies of them. I found some sleeves at home (I'd wondered where they were for a while!) and managed to print up some more copies of Joseph Auer's Monochromatic Sunlight, Monostation's Greycale EP, Level's Aeus Part 2, Maps And Diagrams' Lhasa Apso, Zainetica's wicked Formulation EP and Isnaj Dui's Amacrine. Of course there's the latest release by The Green Kingdom as well, so plenty to be enjoying!

Quantec / Relapxych.0 / Deer - Shapes And Phases Of Ambience - Out of stock, but due back in next week...
Yes, as a late addition to the news, this marvellous CD has now sold out. But don't worry as there are more winging their way to me even now and you can pre-order a copy for next week by following the link below.

That about does it I think. Next week there's the Alps new album on Type, Koen Holtkamp's brilliant CD, also on Type as well as plenty of other good things (including a bundle of new techno related goodies - Styrax etc... you know the score!).
Have a great weekend and take care until next time.
Peace.
Mike.
